What is it about?

This session will tell you everything you need to know about finding part-time work in the UK, as well as what work your visa allows you to do.

You can also meet our colleagues from the Careers and Employability Service to find out what support they can offer you in finding and securing part time work.

U18s Welcome Session

When?

What is it about?

We know that for some younger students starting a new course can be overshelming let alone being in a new University, in a new city, in a new country, during a pandemic! This session is designed to give additional specialist support to students who are under 18 years old.

There will be an opportunity to ask questions and meet some of your fellow students.

You must also have a negative lateral flow test taken in the 24 hours before attending any in person events on campus and please wear a face covering to the event.

Where is it?

Lower Ground Floor Seminar Room, Alsop Building, University Square

Who should attend?

Anyone who will be under the age of 18 when they arrive in the UK.

Hi! - Let's get started - what you need to know!

When?

What is it about?

A big “Hi!” from IAG; meet the team and find out all of the essential information you need to know as a new international student; from how to register with the police to collecting your BRP and find out how you can get further support.

You must book your place to attend and places are limited! If the session is fully booked or you missed it try catching up on a recording of the session on our Welcome Week pages.

An opportunity to meet your International Student Ambassador! Come along to find meet some of our student ambassadors, meet new international students, share your experiences and ask them some questions.
